What is Your Calcium Supplement Missing?

It’s no secret that Calcium and Magnesium are mandatory for maintaining bone mass and bone heath, but as far as “a worthy” calcium supplement this is just the start. A good Calcium supplement should also contain Vitamin D-3, Boron, and Vitamin K both for absorption by the GI tract and to maximize absorption into the bones which remodel themselves completely every 5-7 years. Your Daily Calcium supplement should contain 1000mg of elemental Calcium in a 2:1 relationship with Magnesium.Without these ingredients your bones cannot absorb the needed Calcium. Nutri-Calcium also contains a Chinese herb which balances Calcium in the kidneys providing optimal Calcium and Magnesium balance in the body and the bones.

That’s why Vit-Immune created Nutri-Calcium. This Calcium supplement was formulated by an MD, Immunologist and a Chinese endocrinologist and encompasses the ingredients needed to deliver Calcium and Magnesium into the bones.

The Nutri-Calcium Difference:

  • Formulated with Key Ingredients for Bone Absorption
  • Formulated to Improve and Maintain the Immune System
  • Formulated using a Theme of Balance in the Bones
The Importance of Calcium and Magnesium

An adequate intake of Calcium, Magnesium and other nutrients are essential for maintaining health throughout life. Calcium and Magnesium are required for maintaining bone mass and bone health. These nutrients are also essential to other physiological processes including immune system function, neurotransmitter storage, cardiovascular health, nerve impulse transmission, and hormone storage.

Immune System Connection

No matter how old or young you are, the need for Calcium and trace nutrients is essential to maintaining overall good health. These nutrients play a crucial role in maintaining the immune system integrity and effect numerous aspects of immune function. Magnesium functions in the development, distribution and function of immune cells. Both Calcium and Magnesium are essential for the normal functioning of all white blood cells. They also serve as important cofactors for enzymes that are vital to lymphocyte and macrophage function. In addition, Vitamin D3 can modulate immune responsiveness. Many nutrients are interrelated and thus deficiency of one nutrient can impair many immune functions.

Nutri-Calcium has been formulated to provide the optimum ratio of Calcium to Magnesium and other substances in a form that is readily absorbed to optimize bone health and immune system integrity.

Understanding Osteoporosis

Many women today are concerned with Osteoporosis, a metabolic bone disorder characterized by a decrease in the absolute amount of bone which leads to bone fragility and decreased bone mass (of note: 22% of osteoporotic patients are male and bone loss begins in the 3rd to 4th decade of life). As absolute bone or bone density decreases, loss of strength with a predisposition to fractures of the spine, hip, and wrist increases. Osteoporosis has become a major health problem in the United States, although it often goes undetected until an accident or a fall results in a fracture.
Osteoporosis is often the result of multiple key nutrient deficiencies of which Calcium is but one. Statistics show that only 25% of women with Osteoporosis are Calcium deficient. Research has demonstrated that other essential nutrients including, Magnesium, Boron, Vitamin K and D3, along with other trace minerals must be available in the proper balance to facilitate Calcium absorption and uptake into the bone.

Research suggests that age related bone loss in people at risk may be reduced or even reversed through a comprehensive approach that combines nutrient supplementation, dietary and lifestyle changes including a regular exercise program. All of these factors can contribute to slowing the rate of bone loss thereby reducing the risk of osteoporosis later in life. Within the body’s essential metabolic processes, the continuous exchange of Calcium between bone and plasma takes priority over bone density. Bone is a dynamic tissue that requires adequate nutrition for maintenance and growth, and if there is a need for additional Calcium or Magnesium for other essential functions, and it is not readily available, the body will take Calcium from the bone in order to meet these metabolic needs. When this occurs, bone strength is compromised and bones are weakened.

Questions & Answers
Q:   What if these essential nutrients aren’t getting absorbed by your bones?
A:   Chances are you take a Calcium supplement loaded with Calcium and maybe even the correct amount of Magnesium, but taking these elements by themselves is a waste. Many of the popular Calcium supplements claim “High absorption rates” or “Special types of Calcium” but what they don’t tell you is where the Calcium is being absorbed. The truth is without the addition of three specific elements, Vitamin D-3, Boron, and Vitamin K, your bones will never absorb the Calcium.
Q:   How much Calcium does someone suffering from Osteoporosis need to take?
A:   1000mg of elemental Calcium. The Calcium supplement also needs Vitamin K, Vitamin D3, and Boron so the bones are able to maximally absorb the Calcium.
Q:   Is Calcium absorbed better when taken with meals or without food?
A:   Take Calcium with meals
Q:   Can lost bone be recovered?
A:   Yes. Using the appropriate Calcium which contains the correct proportions of Calcium and Magnesium and containing Boron, Vitamin K, and Vitamin D3 for bone absorption and combined with hormone support can increase bone density.
Q:   Does too much Calcium cause or irritate “bone spurs”?
A:   No. Your bones remodel themselves completely every 5-7 years.
